Program overview
Nag Tibba Trek to Devalsari
The Nag Tibba Traverse offers a different way to experience the Nag Tibba region, continuing beyond the summit through forested trails, ridges and the quieter landscapes leading towards Devalsari.
This three-day trek takes a different approach to Nag Tibba, beginning from Pantwari and continuing beyond the summit towards Devalsari instead of returning along the usual trail. It combines an accessible Himalayan summit with a quieter forest traverse through the Nag Tibba range.
The journey begins with a drive from Dehradun to Pantwari via Mussoorie and Kempty Falls, followed by a gradual climb through terraced fields and forest towards the Nag Tibba base camp. The first evening is spent at camp, allowing time to settle in before the early summit start.
The second day is the heart of the journey. After an early morning ascent to Nag Tibba Top at around 3,022 metres, the trail descends towards the base camp before branching onto the quieter route towards Devalsari. Dense oak and deodar forests make this section feel very different from the more frequently used Pantwari trail.
The final morning is slower, with time to explore the forests, local shrines and stream trails around Devalsari before continuing towards Thatyur and driving back to Dehradun.
