Guided Treks & Day Hikes

These guided treks are designed for those who want to experience the mountains at a meaningful pace, with thoughtful planning and experienced guidance along the way.

About the Program

Some Places Are Meant to Be Walked.

There are places you understand only after spending enough time on foot.

A trail takes you through forests that have no road, past villages that sit far from the usual routes, across ridges where the landscape opens up all at once, and into valleys where the mountains feel very different from a distance.

Our guided treks and day hikes are built around that experience. Most of our journeys are rooted in the Himalaya, from shorter walks that can be completed in a day to multi-day treks that take you deeper into the mountains.

We do not believe every trek needs to be difficult to be meaningful. Sometimes a few hours on a quiet trail is enough. Sometimes the journey takes several days, crosses a high pass, or leads into a remote valley. What matters is finding the right trail for the people walking it and giving them the time and guidance to experience it properly.

WHY HEART IN HIMALAYA

We Know That a Good Trek Is About More Than the Trail.

A good trail can take you somewhere beautiful, but the experience depends on much more than the landscape. The pace of the group, the weather, the terrain, the people you meet, and the way the journey is led all become part of it.

We approach our treks with the same respect we have for the mountains themselves. Routes are chosen carefully, expectations are made clear, and the journey is led with attention to both the terrain and the people walking through it.

  • Routes chosen for the landscape, season, difficulty, and experience they offer rather than simply their popularity.
  • Experienced outdoor leadership with practical knowledge of mountain terrain, weather, navigation, and responsible travel.
  • Enough time to walk, stop, look around, talk to people, and experience the mountains rather than simply finish the route.

TREKKING EXPERIENCES

From a Few Hours to Several Days in the Mountains.

Not every mountain experience needs the same amount of time. A short walk can introduce you to a landscape; a longer trek gives you the chance to become part of it.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Everything You Might Like to Know

If you have additional questions, we’d be happy to discuss them with you personally.

Not always. Some of our day hikes and shorter treks are suitable for beginners, while longer and higher routes require previous experience and better preparation. Each trek will clearly explain what it demands.

The Himalaya is at the heart of what we do, with a strong connection to Uttarakhand, but our journeys are not limited to one region. As the range of expeditions grows, we may also explore other parts of the Indian Himalaya.

Yes, depending on the trek. We believe beginners should be able to experience the mountains without being pushed into a route that is beyond their preparation or experience.

Yes. Private journeys can be planned for individuals, families, friends, or small groups around your preferred dates and requirements.

A day hike generally returns to the starting point or accommodation on the same day, while a trek involves travelling on foot over multiple days, usually with overnight stays along the route.

Preparation depends on the route. Regular walking, cardiovascular fitness, strength training, and progressively longer hikes are useful foundations. For higher or more demanding treks, we will provide more specific preparation guidance.

The equipment required depends on the season, altitude, duration, and difficulty of the trek. We provide a route-specific packing list so you know what you actually need rather than carrying unnecessary gear.
